After three years of negotiations, Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) members voted overwhelmingly to approve their first contract with JetBlue on July 27. With 98.39 percent of the membership voting, 74 percent voted for the contract and 26 voted against. The contract will go into effect August 1.
TWU International President John Samuelsen stated, “Congratulations to Captain Tim Canoll and his 60,000 members on their inaugural contract with JetBlue. This contract has been a long time coming and is a testament to the fact that when working people stand together, we can accomplish great things. The TWU is here to help with anything you need.”
