On December 18, workers at the MinKwon Center in Queens, NY unanimously ratified their inaugural contract with the TWU, after a year and a half at the bargaining table.
“This contract will begin to address years of unclarity and disorganization surrounding job titles, pay raises, and other key workplace conditions. We are excited to join in the tide of nonprofits across the country whose employees have organized for the benefit of themselves, the greater mission of the organization, and the communities they serve and advocate for,” said Ashley Chang and Dan Hong, rank-and-file members of the Negotiating Team.
